Melonn

Terms of Service

Last updated: 23 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Douxl Technologies FZE (“Douxl”, “we”, “us”) for the Melonn app for Mac, the Melonn server, the admin panel and this website (together, “Melonn”). By creating an account or using Melonn, you agree to them. If you use Melonn for an organisation, you agree on its behalf and confirm you're allowed to.

1. Melonn

Melonn turns speech into text on your Mac, formats and translates it, and includes tools such as screenshots, text capture, clipboard history and tasks. Some features run on your Mac; cloud features are processed through our server by the providers named in our Privacy Policy. Melonn is in early access: features will change, and some may be added, changed or removed.

2. Your account

3. Organisations

Owners and admins of an organisation can invite and remove members, set roles, and see members' usage. The organisation is responsible for how its members use Melonn and for having the right to add them. Leaving or being removed from an organisation doesn't delete your account.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use Melonn to:

Cloud features must also be used in line with the usage policies of the providers that process them.

5. Your content

What you dictate, write and capture is yours. You give us only the permission needed to process it to provide Melonn: for a cloud feature, passing it through our server to the provider and returning the result. We don't keep it or use it for anything else. You're responsible for your content and for having the right to process it.

6. AI results

Speech recognition, formatting and translation are done by AI models and can be wrong, incomplete or misleading. Check the text before you rely on it, especially for anything legal, medical, financial or safety-related.

7. Plans, credits and payment

Usage is measured in credits, minutes and words. Plans can set allowances and which features are available. During early access, Melonn is provided without charge unless you or your organisation have agreed otherwise with us in writing. If we introduce paid plans, we'll tell you the prices and terms before anything is charged, and paying will be your choice.

8. Updates

The Melonn app can check for new versions and installs one when you choose to. Some features may need a recent version of the app or of macOS.

9. Third-party services

Melonn relies on services from other companies, such as speech-to-text and AI models, hosting, email and sign-in. Their availability and terms are outside our control, and we may change which providers we use.

10. Suspension and ending

You can stop using Melonn at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or block an account, or an organisation, if it breaks these terms, puts others or the service at risk, or if the law requires it. Where reasonable, we'll tell you why. We may also end Melonn or a feature with reasonable notice.

11. Disclaimers

Melonn is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises beyond those in these terms, including that Melonn will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

12. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Douxl isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, data or business, and our total liability for any claim about Melonn is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Melonn in the 12 months before the claim and US$100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and for important changes we'll tell you in the app or by email before they apply. If you keep using Melonn after that, the new terms apply.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Disputes are for the courts of the United Arab Emirates, unless the law of the place you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
